Reeves+Neylan are well versed in the finances of the film industry and have been involved as production accountants for a number of film production companies. Our role is vital because despite the enthusiasm of movie-makers, the economics of film production are precarious. Only one film in every ten is profitable, six lose money and three break even.
Reeves+Neylan act as advisers and accountants to a whole range of businesses and individuals in the entertainment sector who can't take the money and run. These include artists, actors, writers, directors, illustrators and television personalities.
We also have considerable experience in handling the tax affairs of actors whose situation is often complicated because their earnings are spasmodic and we have successfully advised them in negotiations over their status with the Inland Revenues Foreign Entertainers and Film Industry Units.
